Reports

  • SUE (Classroom/Lab) Report 2022
The Space Usage Efficiency (SUE) report was created by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to measure classroom and class laboratory utilization.  Three variables are measured: Facilities Demand, Utilization Rate, and Percent Fill.  The scores for each variable are summed to determine an overall utilization score and performance rank.  The efficient, or conversely inefficient, use of classrooms and class laboratories affects future UNT construction projects and funding approvals.  Explanation of criteria and algorithm used in calculations SUE Manual.   SUE Scores from last six (6) years - Space Use Efficiency (SUE)
  • Space Projection Model Report 2022
The Space Projection Model is a state model that predicts the net assignable square feet (NASF) of educational and general (E&G) space an institution needs in five categories: Teaching, Library, Research, Office, and Support space.  The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) uses the model as part of its review process in the consideration of proposals for projects that would generate new space.  The Legislatures uses the model for the allocation of Infrastructure Formula Funds, Higher Education Funds (HEF), and in the evaluation of requests for Tuition Revenue Bonds (TRB) for new construction.  Explanation of criteria and algorithm used in calculations Space Projection Model Instructions.
